- 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, bell pepper, onion, and garlic until the sausage is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the jalapeños and shredded cheese until well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each into four squares.
- Spoon the sausage mixture onto one side of each square, then fold the pastry over to create a pocket. Seal the edges with a fork.
- Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each pocket with the beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
- Let the pockets cool for a few minutes before serving.
