Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
  • Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish (such as parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  • Wrap the Chicken:
    • Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, securing the bacon with toothpicks if needed. Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in a baking dish.
  • Add Oil:
    • Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts to help the bacon crisp up during baking.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • Optional Cheese:
    • If adding cheese, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each chicken breast during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  • Serve:
    • Remove the toothpicks if used and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.
