- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of bacon
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
- Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish (such as parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Wrap the Chicken:
- Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon, securing the bacon with toothpicks if needed. Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in a baking dish.
- Add Oil:
- Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts to help the bacon crisp up during baking.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Optional Cheese:
- If adding cheese, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each chicken breast during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Serve:
- Remove the toothpicks if used and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot.
