Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
