- 4 large eggs
- 4 slices of cheese (Cheddar, Swiss, or American)
- 4 slices of cooked bacon, sausage patties, or ham
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for cooking eggs)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: Sliced avocado, tomato, spinach, or hot sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the Muffins:
- Split and toast the English muffins according to your preference. Set aside.
- Cook the Meat:
- If you haven’t already, cook your bacon, sausage patties, or ham until crispy and heated through. Set aside.
- Cook the Eggs:
- In a skillet, heat butter or oil over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness—sunny side up, over-easy, or scrambled. Season with salt and pepper.
- If using cheese, place a slice on top of each egg in the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.
- Assemble the Sandwiches:
- Place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each toasted English muffin.
- Add a slice of your cooked meat on top of the cheese.
- Place the cooked egg on top of the meat.
- Add any optional toppings you like.
- Top with the other half of the English muffin.
- Serve:
- Serve the sandwiches immediately while warm. Enjoy with your favorite breakfast sides or a fresh fruit.
