Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the Meatballs:
    • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
    • Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a lightly greased baking dish.
  3. Bake the Meatballs:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
  4. Prepare the Sauce:
    • While the meatballs are baking, combine the grape jelly and barbecue sauce in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the grape jelly is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Coat the Meatballs:
    • Once the meatballs are done baking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and toss gently to coat them evenly.
  6. Serve:
    • Transfer the coated meatballs to a serving platter or keep them warm in a slow cooker on the “warm” setting until ready to serve.
