Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Meatballs:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a lightly greased baking dish.
- Bake the Meatballs:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and lightly browned.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- While the meatballs are baking, combine the grape jelly and barbecue sauce in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the grape jelly is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Coat the Meatballs:
- Once the meatballs are done baking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and toss gently to coat them evenly.
- Serve:
- Transfer the coated meatballs to a serving platter or keep them warm in a slow cooker on the “warm” setting until ready to serve.
