  • 1 cup beer (any variety)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (plus extra for brushing)
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs or cheese for added flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In a separate bowl, mix the beer, honey, and melted butter until well combined.
  • Mix the Batter:
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter will be lumpy; do not overmix.
  • Pour and Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Brush the top with a little melted butter for a golden crust.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
