- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Jack Daniel’s Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Jack Daniel’s whiskey
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For Serving (Optional):
- Ranch or blue cheese dressing
- Celery and carrot sticks
Instructions
Prepare the Wings:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
2. Bake the Wings:
- Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, turning them halfway through for even cooking.
3. Make the Jack Daniel’s Glaze:
- While the wings are baking, combine the Jack Daniel’s whiskey, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
4. Glaze the Wings:
- Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the prepared Jack Daniel’s glaze until they are well coated.
5. Serve:
- Return the glazed wings to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
- Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing, and celery and carrot sticks if desired.
