Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (19.5 oz) brownie mix (or homemade brownie recipe, enough for a 9×13-inch pan)
  • Ingredients for brownie mix (as listed on the box, typically eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (or vegetable oil for melting chocolate)
  • Candy eyes (available at most grocery stores or online)
  • Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional, for extra Halloween flair)
  • Parchment paper (for lining the pan)

Instructions

  • Prepare and Bake Brownies:
    • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the brownie mix box.
    • Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal and cleanup.
    • Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
    • Bake as directed on the box, usually 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  • Prepare the Mummy Topping:
    • Once the brownies are completely cooled, remove them from the pan and cut into squares or rectangles.
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips and coconut oil together. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth and fully melted.
  • Create the Mummy “Bandages”:
    • Place a few squares of brownies on a serving platter or baking sheet.
    • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over each brownie in a crisscross pattern to create the look of mummy bandages. You can use a spoon or a piping bag for more control.
    • Immediately place candy eyes on each brownie before the chocolate sets. You can also add edible decorations or sprinkles for extra Halloween fun.
  • Let Set:
    • Allow the white chocolate to set and harden before serving. You can speed up the process by placing the brownies in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  • Serve:
    • Serve your Mummy Halloween Brownies at your Halloween party or fall gathering and watch them disappear!
