Ingredients

Scale
  • Crepes:
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 1/4 cups milk
    • 2 tablespoons melted butter
    • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • A pinch of salt
  • Nutella Filling:
    • 1 cup Nutella
    • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Optional Garnishes:
    • Whipped cream
    • Shaved chocolate
    • Fresh berries
    • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crepe Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes to allow the bubbles to settle.
  • Cook the Crepes:
    • Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan and swirl to coat evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to lift and bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter, stacking the cooked crepes on a plate.
  • Prepare the Nutella Filling:
    • In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the Nutella until well combined and smooth.
  • Assemble the Cake:
    • Place one crepe on a serving plate or cake stand. Spread a thin layer of Nutella filling over the crepe. Top with another crepe and repeat the process, layering and spreading the filling until all crepes are stacked.
  • Chill and Set:
    • Refrigerate the assembled crepe cake for at least 1 hour to allow the filling to set and the layers to meld together.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, shaved chocolate, fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired. Slice and enjoy!
