For the Meatballs:
- 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (cubed)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
For the Spaghetti:
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil (for garnish)
- Black olives (for eyes)
Instructions
For the Meatballs:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center, then mold the meat around the cheese to form a ball. Repeat until all the meat mixture is used.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and golden.
For the Spaghetti:
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Toss cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve spaghetti topped with cheese-stuffed meatballs. Use black olives to create spooky “eyes” on the meatballs if desired.
- Garnish with fresh basil for a pop of color.
